Do you have a space you're trying to fill in your living room or a wall in your bedroom that needs that je
ne sais quoi? The perfect place for you to visit would be Brooklin Vintage Décor in Whitby, purveyor of all things you didn't know you were looking for until you laid eyes on them. "You won't find a full dining set in
here. What we specialize in is unique decorative pieces. Something to complement what they have in
their homes," says co-owner Earl MacKinnon, who runs the store with son Jeremy. Housed in a former
barn-style feed store which goes hand-in-hand with their eclectic stock, when you browse you'll find
coffee tables next to vintage signs; sideboards beside old butcher's blocks. All are lovingly sourced by
Earl and Jeremy and transformed into pieces which are worthy of any home. "I like the idea of turning
something that nobody wants into something that somebody wants," says Earl. You could say that the
motto of Brooklin Vintage Décor is mix and match.
