We had a huge group visit, and the food was served very fast.
I got a heaping portion of salad because I substituted it for my fries. So pleased :).
The waitresses were very accomodating to the large number.

Went there with 2 friends, the host at the front door was great, smile held the door, sat us withen 4 min there was a small wait but it was dinner time. Some big over weight lady was kinda rude to the server tho, people that are in a bad mood should stay home, stop trying to dump on others. Go on a diet. Our Grandson has a peanut allergy so we are very limited where to take him-his parents let us know-this is one of them-we did not mention it at first-but after we got our drinks we told the waitress & she took everything back & wiped it down & his meal was cooked accordingly-this place is with the program-food was great too-service-EXCELLENT

Had not read reviews for this location. Stopped in on a whim and it was very good service and food was above average. Restaurant had just us and another single customer, who was happy with service also. Server explained that previous staff were a disaster. Got rid of them because they were cause of bad reviews! Prices were great (comparatively speaking) and we would go back.

Thurston's diner is an unpretentious gem. A comfortable familial place where you want to go again. Warm, homemade food, diner standards done right. Great French fries and home fries. There's always a fresh pot of coffee, its really an extension of your family living room and that's exactly what it should be.

Our party of two ordered a 9oz steak and shrimp fajitas. Fajitas were fantastic but steak was quite tough though cooked to order - had much better quality steak, I am thinking..We both found the gravy to be very salty and lumpy, and the steamed veggies tasted odd. Server was very friendly, helpful, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Will probably be back but would not order the steak again.

Great restaurant, fresh food is always a welcome departure from premade, pre-frozen, precooked like all the big chain restaurants. Owners and staff who really care about their guests. It is pleasantly refreshing in this day and age of absent owners! Keep up the great work folks, I will be back!!!

I love the atmosphere. It is a typical sports bar but that's what is fun about it. The patio is great, and when there is a big sporting event going on.. Champs is the place to go. I will definitely go back.

You can't go here just once! There's too many kinds of burgers to choose from. Cool atmosphere and enthusiastic servers. Best of all AMAZING food! Big, thick patties so filling you won't need your fries! Always a fav when visiting Peterborough.
