Ratings & Reviews - Kon-Nichi-Wa Japanese Restaurant
I was told to order from the cooked food menu by my boyfriend, who took me here this afternoon for lunch. We both ordered ramen, one shoyu with pork and gyoza and miso ramen with beef and gyoza (on the side). I realized I should've ordered pork in my ramen as it's tender and flavourful. The ramen was good, not the best however. The soup base was light. For $1.50 more, we ordered gyoza on the side and while my boyfriend enjoyed it (it is apparently homemade), I didn't so much. As a gyoza expert and guru (they call me 'gyoza sensei'), my initial impression was that it came from the frozen section of the supermarket. The meat tasted like it was processed and not fresh. I have not had good gyoza anywhere so far outside my kitchen.
I was disappointed to find a tea bag in my green tea given how this was a Japanese-run restaurant. Otherwise, a decent meal amongst several other Chinese owned Japanese restaurants within the same vicinity.
