Deb's Place is a great place for Breakfast....we have gone several times, either just my wife and I or with other couples. Food is excellent...service is prompt and courteous, and price is right! Also....if you are ever having a party function at your house....Deb does a fantastic job of Catering and very reasonable! Keep up the good work Deb and Staff!
Service on Sunday, 12 noon, was terrible. Excuse was because Sundays are very busy. Two entrees came, each missing part of the dinners. Had to go and catch the waitress to inform her (she forgot), then wait another 5 minutes for those missing items. Gravy was luke warm with some thick skin on it. Had to ask 3 times for coffee. Maybe they just need more waitresses and kitchen staff?
This is one of Barrie's best kept little surprises! The staff are exceptionally pleasant and can remember our order even though we don't go in often. The food is hot, tasty and the price is wonderful as well!
I'm a friend of another reviewer, and he likes this place so much that he took a huge group (actually 15 at our peak numbers) to Debb's for breakfast while we were in town. Waitstaff is friendly, and have the "I can carry 8 plates on one arm" trick down perfectly. The homefries are FANTASTIC. If I'm in Barrie again, I'll definitely stop by Debb's for a bite!

The best, love Debb she is the best business person. What owner can actually remember your name and send flowers when someone is ill in the family, she is a gem. My grandparents adore her and if the can do this they would tell her.... I'm Italian so imagine my grandparents they don't believe in restaurants and they go to Debbs every week, must be good if Nonna likes it!!
My family and I love this place, we have been going every weekend for atleast the past 2 years. Anytime we plan to go for breakfast it is coming from the kids "can we go to Debbs". I love the food, love the service, and love the atmosphere... No place in town as good, and the wait no matter how long is worth every minute.....!!!
My husband and I thought Debb's place was a pretty good restaurant. Pretty much the usual restaurant fare, cozy atmosphere with a little fire in the middle of the room, nice staff. In a bit of an odd spot for a restaurant though, we came across it just by chance, and happened to be hungry so pulled in. It's not "fine dining" by any chance, but if you're hungry, it's worth it.
When we first went to this restaurant.. It was really good.. we were very surprised to taste such good food and in such a comfortable atmosphere...we all agreed we HAD to go again. and we did. The second time we went is when we noticed all the FILTHY things they had in there. The plates were dusty.. although there was food on it... I dont mean to ruin your appetitess. or your love for this restaurant.. so if you LOVE this restaurant then i suggest you STOP reading this now! . ... so like i was sayingg...we also found a long hair wrapped on one of the eggs.. it was SOOO nastyy.. we HAD to leave.. i don't even remember if we told the waitress...which we probablyy did.. because our family is just like that. Since that day we NEVER went again, and everytime we pass by it.. we just keep on driving.
